OMG! No More, Just ‘The Insider’

It’s back to the original name for the syndicated entertainment newsmagazine.

Just a year after changing its name from The Insider to omg! Insider, CBS Television Distribution’s entertainment newsmagazine is reverting to The Insider starting on Monday.

The show, now in its 10th season and a spinoff of CTD’s Entertainment Tonight, is co-hosted by Kevin Frazier and Thea Andrews. Linda Bell Blue and Brad Bessey are executive producers.

So far this season, omg! Insider is averaging a 1.4 household rating, behind ET (3.7 rating), CTD’s Inside Edition (2.9), Warner Bros.’ TMZ (1.9) and Extra (1.6), and NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution’s Access Hollywood (1.7).

Story is a little incomplete… does this mean the Yahoo!omg partnership is ending?

No. I read elsewhere that Yahoo! is changing omg! to Yahoo! Celebrity next week.

OMG! OMG! is so overused that it’s gotten stale. Tacking this on to a show’s title is little more then a cynical attempt by middle-aged program execs. to make a show look millennial smart when it isn’t. They were wise to drop it.
