Pescovitz Named WTHR Weekend A.M. Anchor

Dispatch Broadcast Group’s NBC affiliate WTHR Indianapolis (DMA 26), today named Naomi Pescovitz weekend morning anchor for 13 Eyewitness News Sunrise effective July 9.

Pescovitz will anchor both the Saturday and Sunday editions of the newscast. In addition, she will serve as a 13 Eyewitness News reporter three days a week.

Pescovitz comes to WTHR from KSTP Minneapolis where she was a reporter and fill-in anchor since August of 2011. Before arriving at KSTP she spent two years as a reporter at KVOA in Tucson, Arizona. While in Tucson Pescovitz was one of the first reporters on the scene when Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot outside a grocery store. Pescovitz has also been a reporter at WIBW Topeka, Kan., and KULR Billings, Mont. She earned a double major in Journalism and International Studies from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
