NECN Adds Investigative, Consumer Units

Newton, Mass.-based regional cable news channel NECN today announced it is revamping its anchor lineup, including moving anchor Latoyia Edwards to mornings. Edwards, who was previously the station’s evening anchor, will be paired with co-anchor Brian Shactman and chief meteorologist Matt Noyes weekday mornings from 5 to 9 AM on NECN This Morning starting Monday, April 27.

NECN is also launching investigative and consumer units.

The investigative unit, featuring veteran reporter Ally Donnelly, will partner with the New England Center for Investigative Reporting to expose government failure, wasteful spending and corruption, among other issues relevant to viewers across New England.

The new consumer unit, which will feature anchor/reporter Leslie Gaydos, will advocate on behalf of consumers, warning them of rip-offs and scams and helping them save money.
