Maryann Balbo Named GM Of WHDF
Lockwood Broadcast Group has appointed Maryann Balbo as the new general manager of its CW affiliate WHDF Huntsville, Ala. (DMA 79), effective April 27.
She succeeds C. Doug Sutton Jr., who left the station in March.
Balbo has a diverse background in broadcast, digital, cable, and newspapers. Most recently, she was the director of marketing and digital at WTVD Raleigh, N.C.
She has also held positions at the Tampa Bay Times, WNCN Raleigh, N.C., and Time Warner Cable/AOL News 14 Carolina in Morrisville, N.C.
