Bloomberg’s Cook To Be Pentagon Press Secretary
WASHINGTON (AP) — Defense Secretary Ash Carter has chosen a television journalist, Peter Cook, to be his main spokesman.
Cook most recently worked as Bloomberg TV’s chief Washington correspondent.
A written statement by Carter on Friday said Cook would begin as his press secretary in July.
Cook replaces John Kirby, who left the Pentagon earlier this year to become State Department spokesman.
