Monique Chenault New ‘Divorce Court’ EP

The former showrunner of The Insider takes over the reins of the Twentieth Television court strip.

Divorce Court with Judge Lynn Toler named a new executive producer today — Monique Chenault, most recently showrunner and executive producer of The Insider. Chenault replaces Lou Dennig, who was exec producer of the show for the last two seasons.

The announcement of Chenault’s hiring was made by Stephen Brown, EVP, programming and development, Fox Television Stations, the syndicated show’s anchor group.

“Monique has the right sensibility to freshen up this long-lived franchise,” he said in a prepared statement. With her help, we hope to be on the air for many more years.”

Lynn Toler has presided over the current version of Divorce Court since 2006. Mablean Ephriam was the show’s presiding judge before her, from 1999.

“I hope to bring my experiences in news, talk and pop culture to the genre and building upon Divorce Court’s long record of success,” Chenault said.

Divorce Court is distributed by Twentieth Television.
