Producers say they were led to believe they were making a talk show for A&E, which said no to the program. “You are playing a dangerous game with the truth,” the top producer, Brad Bessey, wrote in his resignation email.
Entertainment Tonight executive producer Brad Bessey is departing the show ahead of its 36th season. Bessey joined ET in April 2014. Sources say Bessey’s contract was not renewed for the upcoming season, which kicks off in September. Insiders say the split was amicable.
In the wake of Linda Bell Blue’s departure, Brad Bessey is tapped to take over. In addition, Monique Chenault becomes co-executive producer of The Insider.
