It looks like NBC’s 30 Rock will be back for a likely abbreviated seventh and final season, and like 30 Rock, all returning NBC comedy series are likely to get short orders. That would save some coin and allow NBC to pick up more new comedies.

The comedy will return to NBC next month and right back where it was, Thursdays at 8 p.m. That was part of a schedule revamp NBC announced Tuesday, which included the addition of three comedies to its troubled lineup.
It looks like some of that Irish luck is rubbing off on the residents of Greendale and /Pawnee today: NBC has renewed Community and Parks and Recreation for a third and fourth season respectively. In less surprising news, the Peacock has also picked up The Office for an eighth season — its first without Steve Carell.
