WPIX Beats Former ND In Discrimination Trial
Tribune’s WPIX New York beat back age-discrimination claims from a former news director who said she was fired as part of a scheme to oust older workers. A Manhattan federal jury ruled against plaintiff Karen Scott midway through its second day of deliberations.
The suit alleges she was fired for turning 60. The Tribune station says ratings tanked during Scott’s tenure, leading to her dismissal.
