Sherman To Suceed Conlon At Ad Council

The Advertising Council, the organization that has worked with Madison Avenue since 1942 on public service campaigns for charities, nonprofits, social causes and the federal government, is naming a new leader who has experience in all three of its constituencies: agencies, marketers and the media. Lisa Sherman will become the president-CEO of the council as of Nov. 1, succeeding Peggy Conlon, who said in late April that she would retire after 15 years at the helm.
