Toy company Mattel is staffing up its television department. The Barbie and Masters of the Universe firm has hired former NBC exec Phil Breman as VP of live action development, where he will oversee development across both scripted and unscripted shows. He reports to Fred Soulie, SVP and general manager, Mattel Television.
He’ll serve as VP of current programming and oversee several new comedies and dramas for the 2013-14 broadcast season.
