DirecTV Gains In Revenue, Subscribers
DirecTV grew healthy U.S. revenues — but with a smaller number of new subscribers — during the fourth quarter of 2011. U.S. revenue climbed 9% to $6.03 billion, with net consumer additions of 125,000. This was against a net gain of 289,000 for the fourth quarter of 2010. For the year, DirecTV ended with a 3% gain to 19.89 million U.S. subscribers.
