Earning additional season orders for the 2015-16 television season are The Blacklist (season three), Chicago Fire (season four), Chicago PD (season three), Law & Order: SVU (season 17) and Grimm (season five), the network announced. Still waiting for word on their futures are midseason entry Hannibal, which typically is renewed over the summer; as well as NBC’s one returning comedy from last season About a Boy.

There is no doubt where Fox stands on the new show Empire. After just two episodes, the new drama has been given a second-season pickup, a sign of what high hopes the network has for the program. The network also renewed two other shows over the weekend, second-year comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine and first-year drama Gotham.
The Trifecta-distributed syndicated court show, which airs on stations including Fox TV Station’s MNT affiliate WWOR New York, is averaging a 0.7 household rating and a 0.3 among women 25-54 this season through December, according to Nielsen.
Fox has ordered up a fourth season of MasterChef Junior, which has continued to perform well for the network in tough timeslots. This season, MasterChef Junior is television’s No. 1-rated cooking show among adults 18-49 and total viewers (6 million).
Today CBS became the second broadcaster in two days to announce it has renewed a slew of new programs for a second season. The CW did the same on Sunday. CBS picked up NCIS: New Orleans, Madam Secretary and Scorpion, all first-year dramas that have posted decent, but not outstanding, numbers. The takeaway: CBS is focused on stability right now, which is probably not a bad thing at a time of so much change in the way people are watching television.
This is a rare feat — all scripted series on the CW’s fall schedule will make it to next season. The network today gave early renewals to freshmen The Flash and Jane the Virgin for second season as well as The Originals (Season 3), Reign (Season 3), The 100 (Season 3), Arrow (Season 4) and veterans The Vampire Diaries (Season 7) and Supernatural (Season 11).
The network announced on Thursday that the Emmy-winning animated series will return for a sixth season of 22 episodes. The renewal marks the first major pickup for Fox under network chairmen Dana Walden and Gary Newman.
The syndicated game show from Debmar-Mercury and FremantleMedia North America is picked up by station groups including Tribune Broadcasting, Sinclair Broadcast Group and Cox Broadcasting.
