The streamer has picked up a seventh season of the David Boreanaz-led drama. It will be the third installment that’s exclusive to Paramount+; the series ran for four seasons on CBS before moving platforms with season 5 in fall 2021.

CBS’s hit comedy Ghosts will be back for a third go-round. The network has handed a Season 3 renewal to the remake of the BBC comedy, starring Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar, for premiere in the 2023-24 broadcast season. Ghosts moved from 9 p.m. to its current 8:30 Thursday night time slot in its current second season, a shift that has seen its audience grow to an average of 9.15 million viewers, up 15% from its premiere season. It’s up 61% in its time period, and is ranking as television’s top comedy in seven-day playback.
All American has gotten an early renewal for Season 6 at The CW. “Over the last five seasons, All American has established itself as one of the all-time CW flagship franchises,” said Brad Schwartz, president of entertainment at The CW. “All American is not only the network’s youngest series, but also the strongest performer when combining all our platforms.”
The Disney company’s owned and operated stations have ponied up a big increase to keep the long-running gameshows on their schedule. It has renewed both shows, which are the two-most watched shows in syndication, for five years through the 2027-28 season. This will take Wheel of Fortune through its 45th season and Jeopardy! through its 44th.

The renewal of Celebrity Holiday Bricktacular comes ahead of the first installment, which airs on Dec. 19, 20 and 21.
NBC renewed hit freshman series Quantum Leap, its reboot of the popular 1990s sci-fi drama, for a second season, the network announced Monday. The renewal comes midway through the series’ first season which has seen solid ratings. Starring Raymond Lee, the Quantum Leap pilot is currently up to a 2.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 10.8 million viewers across linear, digital and streaming platforms, according to Nielsen and the network. The reboot is NBC’s best-ever drama launch on Peacock and is the No. 2 new broadcast show of the season in the 18-49 demo.
The comedy has found a foothold on digital platforms in addition to its Friday berth on the network.

NBC announced Tuesday that it has renewed the show for season 23, which will be its first spring edition in two years after skipping one in 2022.

Weakest Link will return to NBC. The network has renewed the series hosted by Jane Lynch, based on the British game show, for a bumper third season. The second season, which launched in March, consisted of 13 episodes and the third season will feature 20 episodes.
