He will be responsible for overseeing the Tegna NBC affiliate’s marketing operations across platforms and Charlotte Today, a locally produced lifestyle show. Bailey replaces Rob Dwyer, the former marketing director, who is now the general manager at Tegna’s KCEN and KAGS in Waco, Texas.

Bailey To Head Local Programming At WCIU
Steve Bailey joins Weigel’s WCIU Chicago from Media General, where he most recently was director, programming and affiliate marketing. He’s tapped with developing programming on multiple platforms.
The station group has chosen the former creative services director at its Dayton, Ohio, duopoly to oversee programming and affiliate marketing for all its stations.
