Steve Carlston Named KTTV-KCOP GM

The veteran broadcaster and former KNBC GM is succeeding Bill Lamb as head of the Fox Los Angeles duopoly.

Word is that not one, but two general managers are now out of a job in Los Angeles. Leaving soon will be Steve Carlston, who joined KNBC back in September of 2011, as well as Celia Chavez, who joined KVEA (Telemundo) as GM in 2012.

Steve Carlston Picked As New GM Of KNBC

The GM of KUTV/KMYU Salt Lake City will succeed Craig Robinson as head of NBC’s Los Angeles O&O. Robinson is moving to corporate as EVP-chief diversity officer. Carlston is leaving the Salt Lake tandem just as it is being taken over by Sinclair as part of its $200-million purchase of Four Points Media.
