WBBM Rolling Out Mobile Weather Lab
The Chicago CBS O&O is planning to unveil what it calls the city’s first mobile weather lab today. The modified BMW, which is also sponsored by the automaker, has been teased on Twitter and Instagram, but doesn’t hit the road officially until Thursday morning. The exact configuration and capabilities of the vehicle are expected to be announced Thursday as well.

WGN’s GM, Marty Wilke, is moving over to CBS O&O WBBM, succeeding Bruno Cohen, who is taking over the GM slot for CBS’s San Francisco duopoly, plus its KSTW Seattle. Cohen succeeds Ron Longinotti, who is leaving the company.
WBBM Restoring Weekend Morning News
The CBS Chicago O&O is getting back into the weekend morning news business, courtesy of the same people who dropped out of it more than three years ago. Starting Sept. 22, CBS 2 Chicago Weekend Morning News will air from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturdays and from 7 to 8 a.m. Sundays. Both one-hour newscasts will be anchored by Marissa Bailey, with weather by meterologist Ed Curran.
