Broadcasters Want Hold On White Spaces

The National Association of Broadcasters and the Association of Maximum Service Television asked a federal appeals court on Monday to hold off on ruling on their appeal of the FCC’s white spaces decision until the commission finishes hearing more challenges to those rules.

White Space Rules Go Into Effect Jan. 5, 2011

The rules governing the use of unlicensed devices in TV white spaces will officially go into effect Jan. 5, 2011. The rules, adopted by the FCC in September, have been published in the Federal Register, the final step of codification.
