Station owner Howard Stirks Holdings has settled its retrans dispute with AT&T and replaced its negotiating agent. The stations at issue, WEYI Flint-Saginaw, Mich., and WWMB Myrtle Beach-Florence, S.C., had been off DirecTV since June.

The 27-year TV veteran will oversee ABC affiliate WPDE and CW affil WWMB in South Carolina.
Armstrong Williams, who as part of Sinclair’s deal to buy the Barrington Broadcasting stations, will own, program and run stations in Flint, Mich., and Myrtle Beach, S.C. He says he’s serious about the broadcasting business and hopes to add more stations to his portfolio.
