Hubbard’s Val Napolitano To Retire

Veteran TV advertising executive Val Napolitano is stepping down as Hubbard Television Group’s EVP of programmatic at the end of the year.

Val Napolitano will retire from his position as Hubbard Television Group’s executive vice president of programmatic. A New York native, Napolitano has more than 45 years of broadcast experience, with 37 years at Petry Television and the last five years with the Hubbard Television Group. Napolitano also served as president-CEO of Petry Television for 15 years.

“It has been a rewarding, exciting and wonderful learning experience working for Hubbard Broadcasting,” said Napolitano. “I was thrilled with the opportunity to participate in the changing paradigm shift facing the television industry.”

In his role as EVP of programmatic, Napolitano analyzed and evaluated the various supply-side platforms and demand-side platforms and worked toward industry accepted practices for integration into the buying/selling process. The objective is to make the entire procedure easier to transact between stations/reps and agencies, as well as bringing new advertisers into the fold.

“Val has been a major contributor to Hubbard Television for decades. First with Petry and most recently with us directly,” said Rob Hubbard, president/general manager of the Hubbard Television Group. “We have been so fortunate to have Val on our team.  Not only is he a great professional, he is great human being.”

Napolitano’s last day with the Hubbard Television Group will be Dec. 31.
