Fox’s Hell’s Kitchen this week drew 2.8 million total viewers and a 0.7 rating, leading Thursday in the demo (with ABC and CBS mostly in rerun mode). A Young Sheldon rerun on CBS drew Thursday’s largest audience, with 4.6 million viewers.

YouTube on Thursday announced an update to its global hub for sports content known as Sports. The changes are being made across mobile, desktop and connected TV (CTV). The content will offer clips and highlights from top leagues worldwide, along with exclusive live games and premium content from popular athletes and creators. Videos available are from NFL, La Liga, MLB, NBA and WWE.

‘Masked Dancer,’ ‘Name That Tune’ Go Low; Chicago ‘Med’ Tops Wednesday Night

Fox’s The Masked Dancer this Wednesday drew 2.66 million total viewers and a 0.5 demo rating, ticking down on both counts to mark series lows. Lead-out Name That Tune (2.3M/0.4) similarly slipped 15% and 33% in Week 5 to mark its lowest numbers yet. NBC’s Chicago Med (7.3M/1.0) ticked up and led Wednesday in both measures.

Cable News Ratings Tighten With Big Months For CNN, MSNBC

Several programs on MSNBC and CNN had their most-watched months ever in January, the Nielsen company said. CNN as a network did so, too, in a newsy month where the Capitol insurrection and President Joe Biden’s inauguration left a lot to talk about. For last week, CBS was the most-watched broadcast network, averaging 4.7 million viewers in prime time. ABC had 3.6 million, NBC had 3 million, Fox had 2.6 million, Univision had 1.4 million, Telemundo had 1.12 million and Ion Television had 1.11 million.

NBCUniversal Entertainment to Lay Off 50

Susan Rovner has finalized her Entertainment Content executive team on Tuesday, a few months after she joined NBCUniversal to lead its newly formed development unit. As part of today’s restructure, roughly 50 people will be leaving the company, with the majority coming from inside the division. There were additional cuts in scheduling, acquisitions and marketing.
