WFTX Adds Meteorologist Cindy Preszler

Scripps-owned Fox affiliate WFTX Fort Myers, Fla. (DMA 55), has added meteorologist Cindy Preszler to its team starting in January in an expansion of its weather department.

Preszler will appear weekdays on The NOW Southwest Florida and Fox 4 News at 11.

A native of South Dakota, Preszler worked at WMAQ Chicago, The Weather Channel in Atlanta and KSDK St. Louis.

She has been recognized with industry awards, including five Emmys. Preszler holds seals with the American Meteorological Society and National Weather Association. She also served on the AMS Broadcast Board and chaired the AMS Broadcast Conference in the 1990s.
