Sandra Perez has been promoted to news director at NBCUniversal’s Telemundo Station Group’ KSTS San Francisco.
For the past 10 years, Perez has been a presence in the newsroom at KSTS, serving in various capacities, including assistant news director, managing editor, senior producer, and morning content producer.
Perez will report directly to Stephanie Adrouny, VP of news for KSTS and NBC O&O KNTV.

According to KSTS, Telemundo 48 has consistently dominated the Bay Area’s 5-6:30 p.m. local news block for the past four months, securing the top spot in attracting adults 18-49 across both Spanish- and English-language TV stations. Noticias Telemundo 48 at 11 p.m. has emerged as the leading choice, surpassing all other local newscasts in the time slot for February 2024 to-date, by reaching the highest number of adults 18-49 for both Spanish and English audiences.

A native of Watsonville, Calif., Perez holds a bachelor’s degree in radio, television and film production from San Jose State University.
