Once Again, Fox And The Animation Project Join To Help At-Risk Youth

For the third straight year, Fox News Media will team up with The Animation Project (TAP) for immersive virtual training and mentoring sessions with the aim of helping at-risk youth from across New York City gain access to career opportunities in the field of visual arts.

Spearheaded by Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott and SVP of Programming Operations Jill Van Why, the virtual sessions started June 10, and welcome more than 30 teens from across the five boroughs to work alongside executives and members of the network’s Media Production Group (MPG) to learn how graphics and animation are implemented in news coverage.

Additionally, the youth will get access to mentoring and resume review sessions as well as exposure to Bento Box, Fox Corp’s entertainment animation company.

The Animation Project is a nonprofit therapeutic workforce development program unlocking the professional and creative door for NYC young people with drive and nascent animation talent. TAP develops New York City youth for the local animation industry through software training and prepares them with personal and professional development.
