On the eve of King Charles III’s Coronation, a row has erupted over access to UK television footage of the historic event. Rupert Murdoch’s TalkTV and rival GB News have united to condemn an “anti-competitive” decision by the BBC, Sky, and ITN to restrict access to Coronation coverage. In a statement on the “blackout,” the two news channels said they are being charged an “excessive commercial fee” to access pool footage of Saturday’s proceedings.
Fox News parent Fox Corp. has sent a cease-and-desist order to Media Matters for America in an effort to stop leaked footage of Tucker Carlson, which shows the fired Fox News host making offensive and crude remarks. Media Matters The company claims the “proprietary material” was given to the media watchdog “without Fox’s authorization.”

A New York judge on Wednesday dismissed former President Trump’s lawsuit against The New York Times and several of its reporters over a 2018 article on the former president’s “dubious tax schemes.” Justice Robert Reed dismissed the claims against the Times and its reporters Susanne Craig, David Barstow and Russ Buettner and ordered Trump to pay all attorneys’ fees and other costs associated with the lawsuit.

Elon Musk threatened to reassign NPR’s Twitter account to “another company,” according to the nonprofit news organization, in an ongoing spat between Musk and media groups since his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter last year. “So is NPR going to start posting on Twitter again, or should we reassign @NPR to another company?” Musk wrote in one email late Tuesday to NPR reporter Bobby Allyn.

A complaint filed by CNBC senior international correspondent Hadley Gamble accuses CNBC International executives of fostering a toxic workplace culture, in addition to allegations against other executives of sexual harassment and discrimination, according to sources familiar with the complaint. Gamble’s internal complaint led to the investigation, and ultimate firing, of NBCU CEO Jeff Shell last month for sexual harassment. Shell previously oversaw CNBC International when he served as chairman of NBCUniversal International, based in London, from 2011 to 2013.
