Allen Media Group Extends Overall Deal With Host Jon Kelley

Allen Media Group has reached a new multi-year agreement with veteran television news, sports, and entertainment host Jon Kelley. He will also serve as executive producer for programming that is available on numerous AMG television and digital platforms.

Kelley has hosted the long-running AMG  comedy game show Funny You Should Ask since its fall 2017 launch in national broadcast syndication. Funny You Should Ask is also carried on AMG television networks Comedy.TV and The Grio Television Network. In addition, Kelley provides both hosting and delivers color commentary and analysis for HBCU college sports carried on the AMG platforms HBCUGo, Sports.TV, as well as on CBS O&Os nationwide. Kelley also hosts some of AMG’s lifestyle and entertainment content.

Kelley’s career spans three decades — beginning as a sports anchor/director with WMAQ Chicago, followed by anchoring on the national scene for Fox Sports Network. Kelley went on to be a host and primary correspondent for the nationally syndicated entertainment news show Extra. Kelley also hosted the ABC reality series The Mole.

Kelley’s award-winning career includes an Emmy for sports journalism, and he’s been honored with the Peter Lisagor Award and an Illinois Broadcasters Association SilverDome Award for best sportscast.

Before starting his broadcast journalism career, Kelley was signed as a free agent running back by the Denver Broncos. Kelley earned a bachelor’s of journalism degree while attending University of Nebraska.
