‘Clarkson’ And ‘Hall’ Keep Cookin’

The Kelly Clarkson Show, in its fourth outing, jumped 8% to a 1.3 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating, and was syndication’s No. 1 new show. Tamron Hall, also gained steam, growing 11% to a three-week high 1.0 with a 33% spike in the key women 25-54 demo.

The Kelly Clarkson Show and Tamron Hall, the biggest newcomers to syndication this year, both moved up in the session ending Oct.6 and cemented their standing as the season’s highest rated new strips along with Judge Jerry.

Clarkson, in its fourth outing, jumped 8% to a 1.3 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating, and was syndication’s No. 1 new show by open daylight, averaging nearly 1.8 million daily viewers. In fact, among all established talkers, only long-running hits Dr. Phil, Live with Kelly and Ryan and Ellen DeGeneres ranked ahead of it in the household ratings.

Meanwhile, rival rookie talker Mel Robbins was well behind the top two in the early going with just under 450,000 viewers and an unchanged 0.3 household rating.

In courtroom action, among the newcomers, Jerry Springer’s Judge Jerry continued to have the hot gavel, holding steady at a top-rated 1.0. In the lower courts, Personal Injury Court declined 20% to a 0.4 and Protection Court was unchanged at a 0.3.

The new game show competition completed its third round with 25 Words or Less perking up 13% to a 0.9, while America Says stayed at a 0.6.
