Catchy Comedy Network To Air ‘Dean Martin Celebrity Roast’ Thanksgiving Day Marathon

This Thanksgiving, Weigel Broadcasting’s Catchy Comedy diginet serves up a generous helping of nostalgia and laughs with 21 episodes of The Dean Martin Celebrity Roast. The will air from Thursday, Nov. 23, at 6 a.m. ET until Friday, Nov. 24, at 6 a.m.

Filmed in the former MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Dean Martin, along with his who’s who of celebrity friends, playfully roast iconic figures of the 1970s and 1980s in this marathon of hour-long specials.

Short celebrity roasts originated as a segment in The Dean Martin Show that aired on NBC from 1965 to 1974. The segment’s substantial popularity resulted in this spin-off series of stand-alone specials that ran from 1974 to 1984. The good-natured specials were highly rated throughout the run and primed the stage for the TV comedy roasts we continue to see today.
