Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury has cleared Game Show Network’s People Puzzler, hosted by actress, best-selling author, producer and television personality Leah Remini, in more than 90% of the U.S. starting this fall.

The pop culture game show based on People crosswords will debut on top market stations belonging to Fox, CBS, Nexstar, Scripps, Hearst, Gray, Sinclair and others, with Fox’s WWOR New York slotting it at 6 p.m. weeknights.

The format, comprising 325 episodes from the first three seasons of People Puzzler, “has performed strongly on Game Show Network and is one of its top-rated original series,” according to the syndicator.

Debmar-Mercury Co-Presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein said: “This hit game on GSN makes it a proven performer with over 300 episodes. Having generated strong household ratings and adult 25-54 demos, and offering viewers a fan favorite with Leah as host, People Puzzler has deservedly earned its place on stations’ fall schedules.”

People Puzzler is produced by Game Show Enterprises, Start Entertainment and People, a Dotdash Meredith brand.

People Puzzler pits three contestants in a three-round battle requiring them to put their pop culture knowledge to the test. The contestant with the most points then moves into the “Fast Puzzle Bonus Round,” gaining the opportunity to win a cash prize.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Remini, a two-time Emmy winner and Daytime Emmy nominee for Outstanding Game Show Host, is most recognized for her portrayal as Carrie Heffernan on the long-running CBS comedy The King of Queens. She is an executive producer of People Puzzler, a production of Game Show Enterprises, with executive producer Rane Laymance,  along with Scott St. John and Neal Konstantini for Start Entertainment and Rachel Feinberg for Dotdash Meredith.

In West Michigan People Puzzler will be on WOTV 10AM to 11AM the Nexstar TV station going for a 2-hour game show block with Pictionary at 9AM to 10AM, Sherri is moving to 4PM to 5PM in my opinion I don’t see Sherri moving to WOTV’s sister station Wood TV replacing Rachel Ray with Sherri I’d be surprised did that.

WXMI Fox17 is getting Access Hollywood ending a 19 year run on LIN/Media General/Nexstar station Wood TV/WOTV you could say 20 years as WOTV aired Access Hollywood in fall of 99 before moving to WZZM in 2000 which they aired it in mornings at 10:30AM then moved to 7:30PM for the final 3 years 2001-04 when it returned to WOTV at 7:30PM was in 7:30 01 to 16. As WZZM took ET’s sister show The Insider, Wood TV took Access Hollywood in June 2006 replacing Friends which Fox17 took been on Fox17 ever since now in late nights 3AM.

Access Hollywood returned to WOTV in fall of 16 since Wood TV wanted a 7PM newscast decided to keep Inside Edition at 7:30PM when it was on at 7PM. I had a feeling that Access Hollywood was going to leave Nexstar when they moved Access Hollywood from early access prime in 7PM or 7:30PM to 5:30PM which was where it was in fall 99 and for 3 years moving once again to 4PM this year. Gussing that Access Hollywood is going to be 7:30PM on Fox17 maybe at 11:30PM my guess it will be 7:30PM. I know no one cares where Access Hollywood is on in West Michigan LOL.
