Fremantle today promoted Kimberly Kleid to executive vice president of current programming. She joined the company in 2015 and has been a senior vice president in the unscripted arena since coming on board.
During her time at Fremantle, Kleid “has been instrumental in continuing to build and maintain the company’s robust game show portfolio,” the company said. In the primetime and syndicated landscapes, Kleid has overseen such hits as Family Feud, Celebrity Family Feud, To Tell the Truth and Press Your Luck. She has also overseen daytime game show favorites such as The Price Is Right and Let’s Make A Deal, expanding their seasons with extensive slates of primetime offerings. In addition, both shows celebrated significant milestones in recent years, with The Price Is Right celebrating its 50th season in 2021, and Let’s Make A Deal currently celebrating the Daytime Emmy-winning Wayne Brady’s 15th season as host.
Kleid was also influential in the move of both shows to their new home at Haven Studios in Glendale, Calif., this last year. In addition, Kleid is overseeing the second season of Password, which will premiere on NBC on March 12.
This past holiday season, Kleid oversaw the return of two festive offerings, The Great Christmas Light Fight and the Great Halloween Fright Fight. After nearly a decade, the Fright Fight series was brought back to television in 2023, while The Great Christmas Light Fight lit up its 11th season.
“It’s with great pleasure that I announce the promotion of Kimberly Kleid to executive vice president of current programming,” said, Jennifer Mullin, CEO, Fremantle. “Our ever-evolving unscripted portfolio has continued to flourish and expand under her leadership, and I look forward to Kim’s ongoing contributions to Fremantle’s success.”
Kleid’s promotion is effective immediately and she will continue to report to Fremantle CEO Jennifer Mullin.
