WEEKLY SYNDICATION RATINGS ROUNDUP

Good Week For Talkers And Judges

The top talk and court shows had hot hands in the session ending Dec. 16, with leaders Doctor Phil and Judge Judy both scoring double-digit increases.

Phil surged 11% to a four-week high 3.0 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating and finished first among takers for the 119th straight week.

In second place, Live with Kelly and Ryan rose 5% to a 2.3, tying Ellen DeGeneres, which was flat at a 2.3.

Rounding out the big six of the 14 chat fests were Maury and Wendy Williams, which each added 8% to a 1.4, and Steve Harvey’s Steve, which held its ground at a 1.3.

Judge Judy ruled the courtroom category for the 1,160th week in a row, jumping 12% to a 7.4 and outperforming all syndicated shows for the 20th consecutive week. In addition, Hot Bench, the second-highest gaveler, climbed 4% to a 2.4 and ranked as the No. 3 daytime show behind only Judy and Phil.

On the scripted crime beat, Chicago P.D. flirted with record territory, shooting up 25% in the key women 25-54 demo.
