Gray’s WRDW/WAGT Announces ‘Mix At 3’ Local Lifestyle Program

WRDW/WAGT, a Gray station in Augusta, Georgia, announces the creation of a new local lifestyle program called Mix at 3, coming September 11th at 3:00 P.M. Mix at 3 will highlight all that the area offers in terms of culture, music, theatre, and overall lifestyle. WRDW was recently awarded the National Edward R. Murrow award for Excellence in Innovation and “continues this trend in innovation” with Mix at 3, said a company press release.

In April of 2022, WRDW launched its first lifestyle show, Morning Mix. The program quickly became the highest-rated local lifestyle program in the 9 o’clock hour, the statement said, and revealed the potential for more opportunities in a different hour with Mix at 3.

“Augusta is rich in culture, history, and events. Having two daily lifestyle shows gives us the chance to inform, entertain, and educate our viewers about the numerous things that happen in the CSRA,” said Nathalia Jacques, the director of lifestyle programming at WRDW. “We have the honor to highlight local businesses, artists, institutions, and we love the interaction that we’ve created with our viewers in such a short period of time,” she added. Nathalia will also co-host the afternoon show with Cliff Bennett, who serves as promotions director and community events manager at WRDW.

“Being from this area and in media for 30 years, I can easily say that there’s never been a local TV offering like this,” said Cliff Bennett. “It’s been an honor to be part of Morning Mix, and because of all the positive reactions we’ve received from that show, it’s only fitting that we’re able to bring all the fun and local information to a whole new group of viewers with Mix at 3.”

“In building on the tremendously successful Morning Mix, News 12 is excited to launch an afternoon Lifestyle program, Mix at 3,” said Michael Oates, GM of WRDW. “We will pair this with Gray’s daily half-hour Investigate TV+ program to form what we think will be a very strong 3 o’clock hour, leading into our award-winning afternoon News programming at 4. The big winners in this offering will be our viewers who care so much about what is going on, in and around their community.”
