Ken Jeong And Debmar-Mercury Developing Syndicated Talk Show

The comedian-actor Jeong will executive produce with Jim Biederman with a 2024 launch target.

Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury will develop and produce under the SAG Network Code a new, nationally syndicated talk show hosted and executive produced by prolific TV and movie star, standup comedian, producer, writer and director Ken Jeong (The Masked SingerI Can See Your VoiceCommunityThe Hangover movies). The talk show is aimed at a 2024 launch.

Jeong will executive produce with Jim Biederman (The Kids in the HallThe Howard Stern Radio ShowThe Tom Green Show), who is responsible for hundreds of hours of comedy television as a longtime executive producer, showrunner, writer and director.

Jeong has been a staple as a judge on Fox’s The Masked Singer since its inception. He is also executive producer and host of Fox’s adoption of the South Korean format, I Can See Your Voice, which has been renewed by the network for a third season. Earlier, he starred in his own series, Dr. Ken, and was a standout on the NBC comedy Community after his roles in The Hangover movies, among many others. He can currently be seen in season 2 of The Afterparty on Apple TV+ and the recently wrapped Amazon production, My Spy: The Eternal City, a sequel to the action comedy of the same name that concluded prior to the WGA and SAG strikes.

He can be seen in Mike Myers’ The Pentaverate, Will Arnett’s Murderville and the recently announced Peacock-produced film based on Community, the critically acclaimed hit NBC comedy that Jeong starred on from 2009 to 2015. Prior to this, Jeong created, wrote, executive produced and starred on ABC’s Dr. Ken. He has also been seen on NBC’s The Office and HBO’s Entourage and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Fans will know him from his Netflix standup special You Complete Me, Ho, which earned him a People’s Choice nomination, as well as other films such as Crazy Rich AsiansPineapple ExpressStep BrothersRide Along 2Dark of the MoonCouples RetreatGoosebumps2 and Tom & Jerry. The actor has lent his voice to the Oscar-nominated Over The MoonScoobLady and the Tramp and My Little Pony.
