Nevision Promotes Anne Morrison To CEO-Creative Director

Award-winning independent producer Nevision has promoted senior media executive Anne Morrison to CEO and creative director, “further expanding its commitment to the creation and production of content for the U.K. and global markets.” She will also continue in her role as creative director, factual programs for Nevision.

Her remit will be to focus on the future growth and strategic expansion of the company, working with both established and up-and-coming global talent.

As creative director, factual, Morrison will continue to build on the company’s award-winning roster of shows including the BAFTA and RTS Award-winning The Missing Children, a co-production with True Vision for UK commercial broadcaster ITV in association with Topic in the U.S. and Irish public broadcaster RTE.

Morrison will work with Nigel Pickard Nevision’s creative director, kids & family and Neil Zeiger, creative director, scripted, on the company’s active development slate. She will also work closely with Nevision’s U.S. operation Nevision Inc. and sister company Nevis Productions, based in Copenhagen and Stockholm.

We now have an impactful slate of well-crafted, character-driven stories across factual, factual entertainment, scripted and kids and family and I look forward to making content in partnership with leading broadcasters and platforms globally. With our outreach now expanded to the U.S. with Nevision Inc. and our sister company Nevis Productions in Scandinavia, we are well positioned to tell stories that resonate with viewers both in the U.K. and internationally.”

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Morrison is a BAFTA and RTS award-winning executive producer with a long career in documentaries and factual programming.

Having been a producer/director, she rose within BBC Television to run factual program departments for over 20 years, including Documentaries and Contemporary Factual, and was responsible for many award-winning programs, with a team of over 1,000 program makers across the U.K. and in the U.S. She founded the BBC Academy and led the growth of network television programs in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

On leaving the BBC, she became chair of BAFTA, the second woman to be elected to the position.

She is chair of Pearson College London, a member of the British Academy’s Communications and Engagement Committee, an executive coach and an international keynote speaker on issues such as diversity, change management and talent development.

Her recent executive production for Nevision includes The Missing Children which won the BAFTA Specialist Factual Award and the RTS International Current Award in 2022, Manolo: The Boy Who Made Shoes For LizardsPale Sister for BBC Arts and The World’s Fattest Man: 10 Years On for ITV Documentaries.
