FooEngine Integrates OOONA’s Convert API

OOONA, a global provider of professional management and production tools for the media localization industry, announced today that U.K.-based start-up FooEngine has integrated the OOONA Convert API into its media processing platform.

FooEngine is a media logistics company that provides cloud-based audio/video processing and digital packaging, tailored for the media and entertainment industry.

“We pride ourselves in offering an intuitive, scalable and cost-effective platform that can satisfy all our clients’ requirements,” says Arran Corbett, FooEngine co-founder and CTO.

“With the ever-increasing streaming market, content owners are distributing assets into more and more territories. More often than not, this means that some kind of localization will be required, with a large percentage of platforms opting for subtitling rather than audio dubs.

“We were already users of OOONA’s Create Pro application and were looking for an efficient way to automate format conversions alongside existing manual workflows. OOONA’s Convert API is the perfect complement to our orchestration pipeline as it supports over 50 subtitle and caption file formats and is continually updated in response to market needs. Having access to identical export templates from both a manual and automated perspective ensures consistency across varying workflows.”

“The Foo team needed a complete and fast cloud solution for file format conversions,” adds Wayne Garb, OOONA co-founder and CEO. “We are pleased to be working with this forward-looking company that helps content owners streamline workflows and expand to new territories quickly.”
