OTT Provider Syncbak Rebrands As Zeam Media Following Debut Of New Streaming Platform

Syncbak, a provider of OTT solutions, is rebranding as Zeam Media. The new Zeam Media brand represents the organization’s evolution into a full-scale media company, from supporting content creators looking to create and distribute live OTT programming to providing brand-safe advertising opportunities at scale.

Investors in the company include Gray Television, the National Association of Broadcasters, Morgan Murphy Media and local media champion and Apollo/Cox board member Brian Brady. The rebrand is taking place following the debut of the new Zeam streaming platform in February, which was supported by an eight-figure Super Bowl marketing campaign starring John Stamos.

Jack Perry, Zeam Media CEO and Founder, said: “By bringing together our full suite of simplified offerings under one media brand, we are better positioned to enable local broadcasters and other content owners to leverage OTT to the fullest. In this new iteration, Zeam Media will provide an incredible advantage to all of our partners, content creators, and local broadcasters by delivering a comprehensive tool kit to reach and drive meaningful revenue from the widest audience of viewers on streaming.”

Under the Zeam Media umbrella, television broadcasters and content creators have seamless access to everything they need to effectively create, distribute and monetize their content for digital consumption. This includes:

  • Zeam:Zeam is a “new and free streaming service designed as the ultimate compliment to binge mode: a streaming home for in-between binge sessions to get informed and entertained through news, sports, and culture—live and on-demand—from hundreds of local television stations across the country in one central, highly personalized hub. Zeam’s mission is to connect every broadcaster to every viewer through a platform that makes viewers feel connected to any locale and any news, sports, or cultural event that has meaning to them. In doing so, Zeam also creates a huge opportunity for marketers to reach and follow, at scale, the local and regional audiences that most matter to them. This value proposition has already gotten the buy-in from nearly 300 stations and 30 groups including Gray, CBS, News Press & Gazette, Hearst and Morgan Murphy. Zeam has station representation that covers nearly 80% of DMAs.”
  • Zeam360: Zeam360 “is the first-ever, 24/7 livestream mobile channel, as well as a mobile production studio in the form of a Zeam-branded van. Zeam360 launched in tandem with Zeam by embarking on a barnstorming tour, stopping at nearly 30 local broadcast stations en route to the Super Bowl to help local broadcast stations learn about the possibilities of OTT. Zeam360 will continue on the road visiting local broadcasters indefinitely and the livestream mobile channel can be watched on the Zeam platform.”
  • ZeamStudios Time Square:Zeam has established a new studio in Times Square to host local, independent creators and provide a platform for them to reach a broad base of viewers. The studio will also serve as a billboard to promote the power of local to thousands who pass through Times Square daily.
  • MediaMogul by Zeam: For broadcasters and content owners and creators, MediaMogul “simplifies content management and monetization by giving them the control to deliver content to both live and on-demand streaming destinations.”
  • AdSync by Zeam: For advertisers, AdSync “provides proprietary DAI technology that connects with serving systems to dynamically insert ads in live and on-demand streams to power efficient targeting. AdSync simplifies local sales, combining locally sold with programmatic and providing billions of brand-safe local avails.”
