Debra Lee, president/CEO of Viacom’s BET, assumes the chairmanship, succeeding Robert Johnson who retired from the company he founded 25 years ago. Lee, who joined the cable network in 1986 as VP and general counsel and became president in 1996, will retain the CEO title.
