Glor Named Anchor Of Sunday ‘CBS Evening News’

Jeff Glor has been named anchor of the Sunday edition of the CBS Evening News. Glor was named special correspondent for CBS This Morning in November 2011 and he will continue in that role.

Previously, Glor was news anchor of The Early Show since January 2011. In 2009-10, he was anchor of the Saturday edition of the CBS Evening News and a national correspondent for all CBS News broadcasts. He joined CBS News in 2007 as a national correspondent for The Early Show.

Before joining CBS News, Glor served as the weekend evening news anchor and a weekday reporter for WHDH Boston (2003-07). Prior to that, Glor was the co-anchor of WSTM Syracuse, N.Y.’s 5 p.m. newscast and a reporter for the 11 p.m. newscast (2000-03), as well as the morning news anchor (1997-2000).

Glor graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University in 1997 with a degree in journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and a degree in economics from the College of Arts and Sciences.
