Hearst Television joins other major station groups including Gannett, Nexstar and Sinclair in partnership with the Radio Television Digital News Association.

The Radio Television Digital News Association has added welcomes Hearst Television as its newest corporate member. The program allows media companies to become part of the association and provide benefits for its news leaders at a low group rate.

“We’re delighted to add Hearst to our growing roster of corporate members,” said RTDNA Executive Director Mike Cavender. “More station groups are realizing that for current and aspiring newsroom leaders, the benefits of advocacy, ethics and training resources make RTDNA the ‘must-have’ membership for electronic journalism professionals.”

Corporate members enjoy high visibility at all major RTDNA events, including the First Amendment Awards in Washington, DC; the Edward R. Murrow Awards in New York City; and at the Excellence in Journalism conference held each fall.

Individual members receive discounts on Edward R. Murrow Awards entries, discounted registration to the annual Excellence in Journalism conference with its many training and networking opportunities, and access to RTDNA’s newsroom resources.

RTDNA will also assist members with ethical decision making, public records access and other legal issues, newsroom best practices, coverage guidelines, training guides for newsroom leaders, and to provide a constantly updated membership directory, to facilitate networking with professionals in newsrooms across the country.
