WEEKLY SYNDICATION RATINGS ROUNDUP

‘Judy’ Soars In First Week Of Feb. Sweep

The good judge hits a 8.0. Many talk shows also post week-to-week gains in the session ending Feb. 11.

Judge Judy rocketed into the Nielsen stratosphere in the first full week of the sweep, soaring to its highest rating in two years and easily beating all syndicated shows in the session ending Feb. 11.

Judy jumped 5% for the week and 7% from last year to a nosebleed level 8.0 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating — its biggest number since the week of Feb. 8, 2016 — with nearly 12 million daily viewers.

Game show champ Family Feud inched up 1% and was the runner-up to Judy at a 7.2.

Elsewhere, Dr. Phil stretched its lead in the talk show race to more than a point, scoring a 3.9 and matching its season high with a 3% advance. This marks the 75th week in a row that Phil has finished first among talkers.

Next in line, Ellen DeGeneres fell 4% to a 2.7; Live with Kelly and Ryan grew 9% both week to week and year to year, clocking a 2.5, while Maury added 7% to a 1.6.

Steve Harvey’s Steve was also sharp, growing 17% among women 25-54, the largest demo improvement percentage in talk’s top tier. Also of note, Dr. Oz got an 8% bump to a new season-high 1.3.
