Katz Promotes Scott Porretti To Digital EVP

In addition to leading the company’s digital audio sales across the country, he will now also oversee digital video sales operations.

Katz Media Group, the nationwide media sales organization, today elevated Scott Porretti to executive vice president of digital, effective immediately.

In this newly created position, Porretti, who currently oversees the company’s digital audio sales across the country, will now also oversee digital video sales operations nationwide. He will report to Mark Gray, CEO of Katz Media Group.

In his new role, Porretti will continue to oversee all Katz digital audio offerings, while expanding the team’s focus with a stronger push toward the growing areas of over-the-top content (OTT), podcasting, digital audio programmatic and video on behalf of current and new partners.

Under his leadership, Katz Digital’s audio business “has seen over 30% growth in each of the past four years,” the company said, and its premium partners include Spotify, Entercom, Cox, Univision, Cumulus and more.

Porretti has also led the digital team in making substantial strides to strengthen internal technology and systems.

During his tenure at Katz, Porretti has held various management positions within the organization, including VP-general sales manager, vice president-manager of the New York office, and manager in San Francisco. Most recently, Porretti was SVP of Katz Radio Group, a role he held for four years, overseeing the performance and personnel of a more than 250-person sales team across seven individual sales divisions. In 2014, he was also named SVP of Katz Digital.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

“As a complement to traditional media, digital is an area that offers additional growth opportunities for our partners,” said Porretti. “Katz has unparalleled reach with the unique capability to combine all our publisher’s premium assets for a superior digital offering, focused on delivering a targeted audience with local scale. I’m excited to take on this new role, and work to continue to drive revenue for our partners.”
