O’Shea New Fox Stations Master Control VP

Shawn O’Shea will oversee the owned-station group’s new centralized master control hub in Las Vegas.

Shawn O’Shea has been promoted to the newly-created position of vice president of master control operations for Fox Television Stations (FTS). Effective immediately, O’Shea will be responsible for the new FTS centralized master control hub in Las Vegas, reporting directly to Earl Arbuckle, SVP of engineering for the station group.

O’Shea served five years as VP of engineering and operations for Fox’s KTBC Austin, Texas. He is an Emmy-winning veteran broadcast engineer, who most recently led the implementation of the Sony ELC studio production automation system at KTBC.  O’Shea’s efforts were so successful that the ELC system has now been rolled out across the 27-station group. In addition, he directed the successful transition to digital broadcasting at KTBC, including installation of a new transmitter and antenna.

Prior to joining Fox, O’Shea worked at several integration and production organizations, including Ascent Media, Wexler Video and Core Digital.  He is a graduate of Bates Technical College.
