PALMER TO HEAD NEW YORK CHAPTER OF NATAS

The host of Media 3.0 with Shelly Palmer heads a board of governors that also includes outgoing president Jane Hanson.

Shelly Palmer, host of Media 3.0 with Shelly Palmer, has been elected President of the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences by a unanimous vote of its board of governors. Palmer succeeds past Jane Hanson, who becomes first vice president.

Joining Palmer and Hanson on the executive committee:

  • 2nd Vice President: Karen Scott, news director,  WPIX New York
  • Secretary: Denise Rover, account manager, WNJU New York, a Telemundo affiliate.
  • Treasurer: Chris Pizzurro, VP, digital media, Turner Entertainment Sales

The organization is dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of television and media, and the promotion of creative leadership for artistic, educational and technical achievements within the television industry. It recognizes excellence in television with the coveted Emmy Award.
