WEEKLY SYNDICATION RATINGS ROUNDUP

‘Phil’ Takes The Lead As Sweeps Begin

In the week ending Feb. 5, Dr. Phil matched its highest rating of the season with a 3% advance to a 3.8 live-plus-same-day national Nielsen rating, and easily led the talkers for the 22nd week in a row. In addition, Phil grew 15% from last year at this time.

The session ending Feb. 5 included the first two weekdays of the sweep (Feb. 2-March 1) and Dr. Phil wasted no time in opening a healthy 58% lead over its nearest rival in the closely watched talk show race.

In other daytime news, court show champ Judge Judy posted its second-best rating of the season, with a 1% gain to a 7.5, and topped the entire syndication chart for the 22nd time in 27 weeks.

Judy’s creation, Hot Bench, maintained its series high 2.6 and was the No. 3 daytime strip overall, following Judy and Phil, but ahead of Ellen.
