Scott Padgett Named KTVT Chief Meterologist
CBS-owned KTVT Dallas-Fort Worth (DMA 5) has promoted Scott Padgett to chief meteorologist, effective immediately. He joins Doug Dunbar and Kaley O’Kelley weekdays on the CBS 11 News at 5, 6 and 10 p.m.
“We’re pleased to give Scott this well-deserved promotion,” said President-GM General Manager Gary Schneider. “He has two decades of experience forecasting a wide range of severe weather, from tornados to ice storms to hurricanes.”
Padgett joined KTVT as weekday morning meteorologist in September 2013. He holds a bachelor’s degree in meteorology from Western Illinois University.
