Sinclair’s Right-Wing Critics Turn Up Volume
The fiery editorials of Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. chief political analyst Boris Epshteyn will be beamed into seven in 10 American living rooms if the company is allowed to complete a merger that would transform it into a nationwide conservative TV juggernaut. But Sinclair’s proposed $3.9 billion purchase of Tribune Media Co. is encountering opposition from unlikely foes: media stalwarts of the right.

Look…CNN MSNBC CBS etc ( all liberal) reach 90%+ of total US households …who’s screaming about that? You get one right sided broadcaster and you’d think the world was coming to an end.
When even the right-wingers and joining the left and are saying this is not good competitively, then you know this should not be allowed to happen. It’s not just their ultra-conservative bias, but control over retrans fees for cable and satellite. They also own Dielectric, which makes broadcast antennas, combiners, and transmission lines. Their Acrodyne division used to make transmitters which nearly all Sinclair stations have. They have their hands in diginets and cable networks.
A number of broadcast TV owners lean on the conservative side, so Sinclair isn’t unique there. But those other owners know better than to inject bias into their news. To make it easier to understand: When CNN and CBS appear to be attacking Trump based on what he does or says, they are only reporting what he did. Trump brings it on himself. It’s kind of hard to be biased when the POTUS just hands it to them on a daily basis.
All these years you screamed for no censorship, your freedom of choice to abortion and your right to be gay but being treated the same in your homosexual marriages. Now that you have won that right what do you do? You try to censor out right and good and responsibility. You want your right to speak, you just don’t want that right for others if they are saying something different.
Just because a service is available in 70% of homes doesn’t mean that 70% of the nation is going to be watching it. I get ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and all kinds of other signals on my TV, but I rarely ever watch any of these. That’s the beauty of the choices we have. Blocking viewers from these selections is crazy. These who are objecting all have axes to grind. Don’t take our choices away, just turn the channel if you don’t like them.
Take President Trump out of this scenario and look at the fact of the networks along with CNN and MSNBC all being left leaning (some to the extreme) and now the liberals want to complain about ONE conservative company with 70%. I find it amazing when most of the left leaning complainers say Sinclair is terrible and does not deliver a quality news in their markets are now scared to death of Sinclair and their news. All the networks, CNN, MSNBC left leaning and now Sinclair right leaning…. so what is the real problem?
