WTMO Orlando Adds Two Multimedia Journalists

Telemundo-owned WTMO-CD Orlando, Fla. (DMA 18) today announced that Felix Pirela and Yunaisy Garcia have been named multimedia journalists.

They will report for the station’s weekday newscasts that air at 5, 5:30, 6 and 11 p.m. Pirela will make his on-air debut on June 29.  Garcia’s first day will be July 16 and will she make her on-air debut later in July.

Pirela joins WTMO after working as an anchor at Globovision and as a reporter at Televen, both stations located in Venezuela. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mass and audiovisual communications from Rafael Belloso Chacin University in Venezuela.

Garcia joins Telemundo 31 from Telemundo’s KSTS San Francisco where she was a content producer. She earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Centroamericana University in Nicaragua. She also received a master’s degree in marketing and advertising from Universidad Iberoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología in Nicaragua.
