KTTV Expands ‘Good Day LA’ To 4 A.M.

The Fox Los Angeles O&O is now starting the morning a half-hour earlier.

Fox-owned KTTV Los Angeles (DMA 2) today expanded its Good Day LA by a half hour. The broadcast now begins at 4 a.m.

With this addition, the station said it is producing nine hours of live, local news each weekday, and 49 hours of local news per week.

In making the announcement, Kristine Knutsen VP-news director, said: “Fox11 News is pleased to be expanding our morning news block to deliver the news, weather and traffic our audience wants at an even earlier time that fits their busy lifestyle.”

Dan Cohen and Rita Garcia will anchor the expansion of the newscast, with weather reports from Soumada Khan.

FOX O&O WOFL 35 in Orlando already runs ‘Good Day Orlando’ from 4 AM to 10 AM (Eastern), so this kind of makes sense for me.
