New Co-Hosts For WNYW’s ‘Good Day Wake Up’

Kerry Drew and Bianca Peters are tapped as the faces of the Fox O&O’s early morning broadcast.

Kerry Drew (left) and Bianca Peters have been named co-hosts of Fox-owned WNYW New York’s Good Day Wake Up. The pair’s first day together is Monday Sept. 23, but Peters will be introduced to viewers Sept. 20 during Good Day New York. Good Day Wake Up airs weekdays from 4:30 to 7 a.m.

In making the announced, Byron Harmon, VP-news director, said: “Good Day Wake Up viewers want interesting stories presented by interesting people and this new team embodies that spirit. Not only is Bianca a news anchor and former sports reporter, but also an entrepreneur and published author. Teaming her with Kerry, an Emmy Award winning reporter and anchor with network experience who is well known and liked by our viewers, is a no brainer.”

Drew has been a reporter and anchor for WNYW since April 2012. Prior to that, she was a breaking news and features reporter for WPIX New York. She also served as a New York-based correspondent for CBS Newspath and anchored Ebru News on New Jersey-based Ebru TV, a daily world news broadcast, which aired across the U.S. and throughout Europe.

Previously, Drew was a general assignment reporter for News 12 New Jersey, and before that, she started her professional career as a weather anchor and reporter for WLNY Long Island. Drew holds a bachelor’s degree in communications studies from the University of Michigan, and later received a master’s in broadcast journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.

Bianca Peters

Peters comes to WNYW from WFOR Miami where she was a traffic anchor and sports reporter. Prior to that, she was a news anchor and reporter for KOBI Medford, Ore. Previously, Peters was a host and segment producer for JUCE TV in Tustin, Calif. Before that, she was a host and reporter for ESPN’s X Games in Los Angeles. She began her career in broadcasting as a sports anchor and reporter for College Beat Productions in Long Beach, Calif. A graduate of California State University, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications.
