WSVN Names Vanessa Borge Morning Anchor, Josh Moser Lead Sports Anchor

Sunbeam Television’s Fox affiliate WSVN Miami has added Vanessa Borge and Josh Moser to its news department beginning in December.

A familiar face for South Florida viewers, Vanessa Borge was named co-anchor of WSVN’s highly rated morning show, Today in Florida. She replaces longtime anchor Christine Cruz, who is moving to Kentucky after spending 24 years at WSVNmost of those on the anchor desk.

As co-anchor on Today in Florida, Borge will soon join Diana Diaz, Alex de Armas and meteorologist Vivian Gonzalez weekdays from 5:30 to 10 a.m. A native of Miami, she most recently co-anchored Good Day LA at KTTV Los Angeles. Borge also spent nine years at WFOR Miami as an anchor/reporter.

Josh Moser becomes WSVN’s lead sports anchor replacing veteran sportscaster Steve Shapiro who retires in December after more than 20 years at WSVN. A native of Southern California, Moser was most recently sports director at WLUK Green Bay, Wis.

He has worked at KUSA Denver and KREX-TV Grand Junction, Colo., as a sports reporter and later as sports director.
